Vtg CHINESE HAND PUPPET - 1944? - 11" Long - Painted Compo face & Hands - Clean

Description

This is a vintage CHINESE HAND PUPPPET - Head, cap and hands are a type of composition (no cracks or crazing) - Face looks to be hand painted - He is 11" long - Body is a cloth sleeve for your hand to fit into - The fabric is a light weight wool printed with flowers and dots - Hem at bottom is machine stitched - He is in wonderful condition and has no odor or damage.
He came with a note attached which says "SMILE - that's what the children do when I wave my arms and talk to them.  I came from China 1944".
He is very intriguing - I wish I knew his history.  It's hard to read, but back of head is marked "China" in small blue letters.
