Vintage wicker bamboo Peking wood duck basket w/lid Shanghai Peoples Rep China

Description

A lovely old vintage hand woven duck shaped wicker /reed basket.  The lid has hand carved duck's head, eyes, bill, and feathers.  Some of the feathers are colored green; eyes are yellow, and wing feathers are orange.. The feathers on the duck's back wings and tail are from a thin bamboo? type wood.  There is a paper label inside the lid reading:  Shanghai Handicrafts; a number which has been partially removed; and Made in The People's Republic of China.  Approx. 7" x 5 1/4" x 5 1/2" to top of duck's head.  In excllent condition. Estate find.  Great to add to a collection or display!!
