    Description

    The  Famille Rose Longevity pattern was Manufactured in Jingdezhen, China. This pattern includes white flowers  on the reddish/coral background, Trimmed  with a colorful Greek key design.  Also featured in this design are scrolls and 4 Chinese characters "Wan", "Shou", "Wu", and "Jiang" which roughly translate to the Imperial Birthday wish: "May you have ten thousand longevities without boundaries".
    The Gaiwan is a bowl without a handle, a lid to infuse the tea leaves and a deep saucer.
    This lot includes a set of two Gaiwan 3 3/4" bowl with lid tall. Bowl opening 4 1/8" diameter, 2 3/8" tall and 1 1/8" base diameter
    saucer dishes  4" diameter, about  1 1/4" deep.
    All items with no utensil scratches, no chips or cracks. The paint and enamel really create a textured contrast and pop against the background. These lids are a loose, non-exact fit due to the older construction, slightly out of round.
    Most likely from the 1960's-1970's.
