    Up for sale is one vintage 1970 Ludwig Super-Sensitive model snare drum.  5" x 14" size.
    The shell is stamp dated Apr 17 1970 and the serial number on the pointed blue olive badge is 784038.
    I detailed and cleaned everything so you won't have too.  Chrome looks really nice now.
    I was very happy after tuning it up and hearing how nice it sounds.  Perfect crisp snare tones.
    The bottom rim is chrome over brass with the lowered gates!  Big round knob round felt internal muffler.  All of the super-sensitive throw-off mechisum works perfectly, and has the guards on both sides.
    Nice
    smooth bearing edges on both sides too.  It's hard to see but in the last picture you can make out the "reliable anti-galvanic" black lettered stamp above the date stamp.
    Condition notes: 2 of the 20 strands are missing on the snare wires. The panel to the right of the badge has a small number etched in it, very near the head edge.  The 10 imperial lugs have age pitting on them.  Badge points have the usual slight lifting, but are not bent.  Although the top rim matches it must be newer and that's my guess on the upper 10 tension rods too.
