Vintage 1960s Slingerland No. 130 Gene Krupa Sound King 5x14" Chrome Over Brass

This is one of the cleanest 1960s Gene Krupa Sound King snares you will find. It has the desirable original chrome over brass hoops, as well. It is a heavy and powerful drum. It does well at high and low tunings and has incredible sensitivity. Honestly I would use it for any genre of music, especially in medium and louder volume settings. I would keep it but I have too many drums.
This drum has a few very light scratches around the shell and a light dent at the butt plate that could be hammered out if you want--but it's not noticeable. I completely disassembled this snare, polished the shell and hardware, and lubricated the strainer, tension rods, and muffler. I outfitted it with new Remo Ambassador heads and Puresound 20-strand snares in the 15" size to get the half overhang these drums are designed for.
