The dead center of the tail stock should be in line with the center of the rotary table. Tail stock suitable for 6" & 4.5/16" Rotary Table.
Uses of Tail stock

Indexing mechanism:-

The chuck has 4 reversible jaws.
There is a fixture plate on which the chuck is mounted.
