    Description

Beautiful warm red-iron enameled porcelain ienamelware. This form of glazing requires 2 firings. The glaze is laid on top of a fired piece and fired again at a lower temperature. This creates a vibrant textured and durable enameled surface.
-Lovely botanical motif of cherry blossoms, and 16 petal chrysanthemums.
-Vibrant red-iron, navy blue, white, and gold glazes with pink and light blue accents.
-This piece was likely produced in the mid 20th century in China, not for export to the United States (hence no country of origin mark).
-The piece was acquired from the estate of an American collector who lived in Hong Kong for many years and collected Japanese and Chinese art and porcelain.
Condition: This piece is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
    Dimensions (approx):
    5 1/4" W X 8 1/5" H X 9 3/4 D (beak to tail)
