Description
This listing is for a used engine assembly. When possible, we test and verify condition of the engine prior to inventory. A used engine will include the block, heads, intake and exhaust manifolds, and fuel delivery system unless otherwise noted in the 'conditions and options' line of the listing. This is a used engine. Used engines will not appear brand-new and may have corrosion and surface rust on them. If you're concerned about corrosion or surface rust on the engine block, please ask for detailed photos of the engine prior to ordering and shipping to avoid having to pay return freight on it if you find that surface rust on an engine block is bothersome. It's completely normal for a cast iron engine block to have rust on it, especially if you're ordering an engine for a vehicle that is 5 years old. Upon installation of the engine, fluids must be replaced, filters must be replaced, and spark plugs must be replaced. Expect the engine to smoke upon initial startup from engine oil collecting in the upper end from the engine being moved and disturbed. It's completely normal for a used engine to have light smoke during initial start. The engine is marked in several places and includes a heat tab on the back of the block for ownership and use verification. Extended warranty is valid if installed by a licensed repair facility with documentation of installation and consumable parts replacement. If you have any problems with the engine after installation, please be prepared to present documented diagnostics by a licensed repair facility outlining the exact problem with the engine, including compression results, leakdown results, and oil pressure results.

ENGINES, TRANSMISSIONS, REAR AXLES, FRONT AXLES, AND TRANSFER CASES ARE SHIPPED WITHOUT FLUIDS IN THEM. AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS WILL HAVE THE FILTER REMOVED AND IT MUST HAVE A NEW FILTER INSTALLED WITH NEW FLUID TO FUNCTION. OUR FIRST QUESTION IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH A TRANSMISSION IS WHETHER YOU PUT A FILTER IN.
YOU
MUST INSTALL A FILTER AND FLUID IN AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FOR IT TO FUNCTION AND THE TORQUE CONVERTER MUST BE ALIGNED TO THE PUMP DURING INSTALLATION. DAMAGE CAUSED BY FAILURE TO INSTALL A FILTER, FLUID, OR ALIGN A TORQUE CONVERTER IS NOT COVERED BY OUR WARRANTY AND YOU WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND IN THE EVENT OF A TRANSMISSION BEING DAMAGED DURING INSTALLATION.
While we offer free shipping on many of our parts, we still have to pay for shipping the part to you. Any parts ordered incorrectly or damaged during installation are subject to a 25% restocking fee and deduction for original cost of shipping up to 50% of the original cost of the item. We CAN ship to a residential address, but price must be discussed in advance as it would result in residential delivery fee, which can range from -0 additional.
