Up for sale is an 8 x 22? DW JAZZ SERIES*
bass drum woofer in Orange Glass Glitter ( 2008).
It comes complete with a factory installed
MAY internal Audio Technica ATM25 Microphone mounted on a MAY- shock mount. Just plug and BOOM!.. LOOKOUT LOWEND RUMBLE!!
The DW woofer was created to act as a sub-woofer for the drum set. This specialty drum is designed to utilize the sympathetic waves from the bass drum to further enhance the roundness and low-end punch most drummers seek.
This drum does not have a re-enforcement ring, and is a straight shell.
This drum is in new condition. Since acquiring it , I have it sitting on the floor in front of a Ludwig 16 x 18? floor tom on a cradle. This drum on it?s own was a cannon, but the woofer adds a low end and a rumble and turns up the ambiance to 11.
It instantly sounds like a 22? bass Drum!
A really cool invention that has innumerous live and recording possibilities!
The DW Jazz series is basically a
Gretsch Jasper shell made by DW ?. Maple and Gumwood combination. Beautiful sound.
