This is a poster of the early Chinese Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution (CGPCR) poster. The topic of this poster is based on the Power-Seizure Movement (MPS) during the January, 1967. The movement was caused by Shanghai Rebels, whom launched the seizure of power against the municipal jurisdiction and organs of the Communist Party government in Shanghai. This movement was known also as January Strom, and because it supported by Chairman Mao (1893 – 1976), it became a wide-ranging and strong influence and causing a series of chain reactions. That shortly afterwards, the worker rebels rose rapidly throughout the countrywide. This is also marked the CGCR has entered a new stage of full seizure of power.
This poster titled The Proletarian Revolutionaries Grasp The Power Firmly! The poster showed off a revolutionary worker and the seal symbolized the power control of the political, economic and cultural, the arm ribbon of Worker Rebels, the book of Chairman Mao’s anthology, and the satire figures symbolized downed officials and government with the economist.
