Description
Breyer Grey Arabian, Model 923 from Mold 3030BS, RetiredThis model was purchased New In Box and was a shelf model only, never played with. I am the original owner.
The Grey Arabian has beautiful flecks of black and rust coloring in his coat.
I
almost kept this guy, but in the end decided to sell my classic models in order to downsize my herd.
This model has what I consider to be normal Breyer factory flaws found on most models. A little dust/lint under the paint, and some seams that could have been sanded more. He has a tiny bit of extra plastic sticking out on the outside of his front right hoof and his left hoof is a bit misshapen. Please check the photos closely.
This mold is an older one, so even though a fairly new model release (2017-2018), he has the look of the older molds - his surface is not as smooth as the newer molds.
His box is in very good shape.
The nice thing about buying a shelf model is that you already know what the flaws are as opposed to buying new in box, where you can only see one side clearly.
Personal note:
As a seller, I am very upfront about the flaws I notice, because of my experiences as a buyer. When buying models, I expect sellers to be forthcoming about the flaws on their models - factory or otherwise. Unfortunately this is not always the case. I knew that when I started to sell items, I would be honest about their condition. Most flaws can be seen by using the magnifying tool, however I am always willing to take more photos as requested. Generally the flaws do not take away from the beauty of the model, but they have to be something that you, the buyer, can live with:)
