ITEM DESCRIPTION
Extremely rare, antique, extraordinary and incredible ornate wine decanter or pitcher. Highly detailed figural piece depicting a winged mermaid, Bacchus face on top and two faces on side with intricate leaves and grapes. Art Nouveau style. Most probably made during second half of XIX century. Engraved: ´´IN VINO VERITAS´´ and ´´VINUM CAU IS INOCULUM´´. This is the most fantastic and amazing pitcher i have seen. Original silver plated metal (see under base in last picture) but now with original dark patina.
Amber glass. Excellent original condition with no broken or missing parts. Tall: 36 centimeters.
